As a Dr of Chinese Medicine my treatment approach aims at relieving your symptoms while addressing the underlying root cause of your health concern to best address your wellbeing at a foundational level. As I believe we are a 'whole package', I give dietary and lifestyle advice in conjunction with acupuncture and herbal medicine, to help promote functional healing of your body and mind, which I believe will also help improve your everyday life well into the future.

Acupuncture strongly regulates and calms the nervous system to help recalibrate how our body communicates. When information runs better and smoother throughout our body and mind we feel better, look better and function better. Our organs, tissues and body systems communicate with one another more effectively and are healthier and more balanced. Sounds good right? I’ve been doing this for over a decade and it still amazes me everyday. This medicine is still going strong after thousands of years and I am honoured to use these traditional practices to help people restore to their best self.

The amazing success and systematic approach of acupuncture and the traditional knowledge of natural medicine has fascinated me since my younger years, and it is incredible to witness its relevance, now more than ever in our fast paced modern world. As a second generation acupuncturist, with both my brother and father also being long standing practitioners, I understand how beneficial natural medicine can be, for both the treatment of disease as well as it's prevention. My own wellness journey and growing to appreciate myself and take better care of all parts of me has highlighted the potency of making positive shifts to our own self care.

After six years of full time training, study and clinical experience, I was awarded a Bachaelor of Health Science in Chinese Medicine and a Diploma of Tui Na (Chinese Medicine remedial massage) from SSNT (Southern School of Natural Therapies). I had the privilege of working with a well renowned Dr of Chinese Medicine in Melbourne for almost three years as his herbal dispenser and clinic assistant while running my own private practice in South Yarra, before moving back to Queensland to open Nourished Temple (originally named Body & Soul Sunshine Coast). My studies involved a high level of up to date scientific based training in anatomy, physiology and pathology. I continue my professional education in womens natural health, while my love for overseas travel found me also completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training, allowing me to share my other passion and the incredible benefits yoga can bring to everyone.

I am registered with AHPRA and ATMS and am covered by most major health funds. I am proud and grateful to be able to share my professional and personal knowledge of this time-tested health-care system to assist you on your path to wellness in a safe, effective and natural way. I am humbled by the guidance of my teachers and mentors and all those dedicated to this long lineage of natural medicine. I look forward to meeting you soon.
